EASY TIPS - HOW TO CLEAN THE MAKEUP BRUSHES.
Do’s
1) First, moisten the bristles under lukewarm water.
2) If you don’t have a professional brush cleaner / Isopropyl, you can use Baby shampoo or an antibacterial mild soap bar.Place a drop of baby soap into the palm of your hand. Although antibacterial soaps and detergents can be too harsh for your skin, when it comes to makeup brushes, it’s worth really eliminating the bacteria.
3) Gently swirl them and gently massage the tips of the bristles in your palm .Build a good lather to loosen all the makeup and oil stuck inside the bristles. Rinse thoroughly. During the mid-wash, keep the base of the brush head away from soap and water. The bristles are glued to the base, and water and detergent can cause the glue to disintegrate and the bristles to come loose and shed.
4) Squeeze out the excess moisture with a clean towel. Let the brush dry with its bristles hanging off the edge of a counter, thereby allowing it to dry in the correct shape
Dont’s
1) You should never use hot water to disinfect makeup brushes as higher temperatures can damage the tool.
2) Never dry your brushes vertically — this will cause water to leak into the ferrule (the piece that joins the bristles to the wand) which will also loosen the glue and lead to bristle loss.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU CLEAN THE BRUSHES?
Cleaning your brushes could be as simple as investing in quick brush cleansers to assist color switching or even wiping the excess color off on a makeup wipe.
Washing a makeup brush is more of an overnight process. Although London Pride Makeup Brushes are done with an antibacterial coating still we would recommend cleaning your brushes every two to three days to avoid makeup build up and residue of other colors mixing into your makeup look. Brushes that are used on the face should be thoroughly washed once a week to avoid a buildup of bacteria that could result in acne and skin irritation. Eye brushes should be washed once every two weeks.
